Bluetooth Smart Scanner app good for
Lost my Fitbit tons of times and this app worked like a charm. Helped narrow down the room it was in and then within like 2-3 ft I found
Lost my Fitbit and used this app and finally found it! Amazing. Around 50dpbm or whatever was when I was within about a foot away. Awesome!
Had to read the reviews for tips but worked as expected. To sum up everything:
+ Turn Sound On through the info icon on top left of screen.
+ I had to let my phone sit for a few mins to find and identify my Fitbit.
+ Average signal reading: -65 to -98
+ Few feet away: -45
This app is SUPER helpful and easy to use. Downloaded very quickly, and there are no ads or pop ups that get in the way opening it and during use.
I lost my Fitbit One a few weeks ago, and couldnt find it since. Downloaded this, and found in in less than ten minutes!
A few reviews were saying that this app is difficult to use, and that sound is hard to figure out how to turn on, but its fairly easy. Pause the scan by clicking "stop", click the circled i in the corner, and turn it on. Then, click "scan", and continue your search!
A little frustrating to use at first, but after reading other reviews on here I learned what I was suppose to be looking for. Make sure the sound is on!! Found my fitbit for me that I had left in the car 2 days prior. Great app!
This app is a life saver. I lost a Mi Fit in a grassy field. There is no way I would have found it without this app. Thanks.
Some bad moments
I have 2 iPads and 2 iPhones within 10 feet of my location.
Bluetooth is on mom all devices.
App finds none of them.
Reading other reviews, I see enough similarity in their writing style to suspect they are developer generated (fake, planted, deceptive).
Excellent way to find your lost fitbit. I used the signal strength to find my fitbit at the bottom of a drawer.
Lost my Fitbit, but I knew it was nearby because it could connect. I spent 20mins+ looking to no avail, this should allow you to narrow down the search by quite a bit. Once I had this running, i found it in less than 2 minutes.
I also used this to find a lost fitbit! It took 5 min, and it was in tall grass.
To the next person that lost their fitbit: -40 dBl means that you are just a few inches away from the fitbit, -99 dBl you are about 20 feet ( no walls )
To the app designer: you should make this with a signal strength bar and gear the GUI as a locator, then sell it for a buck as a Fitbit finder. I will of accept a customary 20% idea fee or 1million dollars which ever is higher.
Used this app to find my fitbit one. Worked well once I figured out the lower the number the closer I was. -57dbm was within a foot.
Enable the sound in settings so that you get beeps. Higher pitch means you are closer, and beeps get more frequent. If you have more than one low energy bluetooth device, youll get beeps from all of them, which can be confusing unless you select the one you want. It would be helpful if we could label devices to make it more obvious which to pick. Also a graph showing strength as a function of time. But even without this, this is the app to get if youve lost a bluetooth LE device
