Very handy tool

BLE is taking the mobile space by storm, thanks to Apples decisive moves. However there are very few tools/apps which work with BLE. When I got Nordic and TIs BLE key fobs, I didnt know whether they were working or not. Those BLE gadgets need to be advertising before they can be found. Enter the BLE Scanner! It tells you instantly what BLE device is advertising, its name, services offered and signal strenghth. The signal stength is my favorite. Turning the device around, you can see the signal stength changing. This can be used as an indicator of how far away the BLE device is from you.

Very handy tool! I can see this tool to be essential when you buy your future BLE sensor (a thermometer, pedometer, scale, blood pressure monitor, etc. etc.). Fire up the app and you know whats around you.
